By January 30, 2014, all Commercial Driver License (CDL) holders must provide information to their State Driver Licensing Agency (SDLA) under the new Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations that went into effect as of January 30, 2012.
Failure to provide and keep current medical certificates on file with their SDLA risk losing their CDL. See the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators for state specific requirements and instructions.
